and they said you’d wonder where all your time went

March 27, 2008

Well its only taken me just under a year to write a second entry.  Kate and work keep us quite busy!   Looking at the picture below I can’t believe how much she has changed.  She is still so sweet, hasn’t really learned how to take a proper nap and is table walking.  A year has flown by and I feel like our baby isn’t a baby anymore.  By Saturday hopefully we’ll have a year’s worth of pictures to post.

We are still house hunting…there are only over priced and ugly houses on the market in Pepper Pike.  Maybe there’s a reason we can’t find a place to buy and Pete or I will get transferred to some fabulous location for work.

KateBirth

Welcome to our new blog about life with Katherine Elaine otherwise known as (Kate, Gatty, or Katelaine to the Beatles tune of Penny Lane).  She is a week and a half old and such a joy even at three in the morning.

She was born at 11:33 pm on Friday, March 30th, 2007 after 24.5 hours of labor.  Kate weighed in at 7.43 oz and measured 18.5 inches long.  When they measured her again though she was 19.5 inches long.  We’re going with the later measurement.  We stayed at Hill Crest for 36 hours and then we were able to come home to a yard full of daffodils and 75 degree weather.  The weather didn’t remain so balmy but Kate gets sweeter by the day.  It seems like she has always been here and I can’t imagine life without her.

Pete has been a huge help and is a super dad already!  They say that its instinctive for mothers to take care of their babies but I think it must be the same for men as well.  I didn’t even have to change a diaper the first couple of days home.
